Resorts World Manila's exclusive Genting Club hosted the first Supercar Day in recently at the Newport Terminal of the gaming and entertainment complex recently. Over seventy high-performance exotic supercars featuring sought after limited edition models like the Audi R8 GT, Lamborghini Aventador, Lexus LF-A, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series, and the Porsche Carrera GT among others were virtually on display from morning ?til noon.
The gathering featured supercars from Audi, Ferrari, Ford, Lamborghini, Lexus, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, and Porsche. While not exactly a supercar, an ultra-luxury Rolls-Royce Phantom also conveniently joined the gathering as the owner was probably preferred to be driven and arrive like a boss that day than drive his own supercar.
The Supercar Day was held as a kick-off for the Grand Fiesta 2012 which features a Vintage Car Show; a weeklong classic car display at the Newport Plaza from November 25 until December 1. The Grand Fiesta is Resorts World Manila's six-week celebration of the holiday season. The longest and grandest yuletide fete that features the best of what the Filipino can offer, showing significant support to the Department of Tourism's 'It's more Fun in the Philippines' campaign.
The supercar gathering was put together by Lester Codog of Foilacar Manila; one of hottest names in the automotive aftermarket today, Foilacar first introduced 'foiling' of vehicles to the Philippines.
