The FBI has issued a warning to smartphone users, specifically Androids, about possible mobile malware threats. The Internet Crime Complaint Center alerted Android users to be wary of several malware attacks, like FinFisher and Loozfon, which target Android phones. The IC3 added those were just two of the many active viruses that are being used to compromise mobile devices.
If you're an Android user who is starting to panic right now, don't. There's plenty you can do to protect your phone. First, use protective features like device encryption and antivirus software, and always make sure to read the reviews of apps you download. Keep an eye out for Geo-location permissions for certain apps too. The FBI?warned users against connecting to Wi-Fi networks they don't know and not having a password for your phone.
